EJ Gridley Named BPS President

5/8/24: Syracuse NY: Battery Power Systems Inc. located at 6838 Ellicot Dr. East Syracuse, NY 13057, is pleased to announce that EJ Gridley has been named BPS President.

EJ brings several decades of service and sales experience to his term as President having been with BPS for over 23 years. He started with BPS as a Shop Technician while attending Onondaga Community College, he then worked as a Service Technician, later becoming the Central and Upstate New York Sales Representative. He has been serving as Sales Manager since 2019.

“20 plus years ago this was just a job, working for my father after finishing school.” said EJ Gridley. “To be honest, I never knew where it would lead. I started with odd jobs around the shop and learned the ins and outs of batteries and chargers as the Shop Guy.”

EJ continued, “as the weeks and months went by I tried to work hard and continue to grow my knowledge, listening, and learning from those around me. That eventually led to working as a Service Technician. I spent a lot of time working on the service side, building relationships with customers and vendors, while watching my father & the team build an incredible business.”

EJ will be replacing Ed Gridley as President. Ed will continue on as CEO.

In combination with his Sales Manager duties, EJ has been instrumental with new technology integration both with advancing battery and charger technology and also internally within the service and sales departments as well as with AR/AP activities.

EJ continued, “ Last Saturday night, with my wife by my side, it was an honor to have my Mother and Father promote me to President of Battery Power Systems. I’m looking forward to our future and continued success, working alongside our dedicated BPS employees.”

Battery Power Systems is a family owned forklift battery & charger, sales and service company. BPS has been servicing Western, Central, Southern Tier and the Upstate New York area for over 35 years.
